Hello familiar
Some of you are aware that I am at a juncture. I’m standing, catching my breath, on a precipice built on a rich, troubled, hilarious history, and the view is both terrifying and marvellous. To get here, with much unknown and much to consider, I’ve had to look hard at that history. Bones (and hearts) have been broken. But here at this outlook I feel stable and inspired to share some of the lessons I’ve learned as I’ve screwed it all up and come back for more, more than once.
You’ll like this if…
Maybe you, too, are hoping to turn a redemption arc into a learning curve, or the other way around. Perhaps you’re a parent trying to teach someone how to adult when you’ve not quite figured it out yourself. You’ve lost your job or are considering a career change. You’re launching into adulthood, parenthood, single life or marriage. You’re exploring uncharted territory, and think maybe a guidebook of sorts might come in handy - a little atlas pointing out drop-bears, quicksand and flesh-eating succulents, unicorns, birthday cake and wish-granting genies. Maybe you’re simply a Nosey Parker like me, curious about how I’ve managed (or flubbed) parenting / relationships / career when my mistakes have often been flambouyant and manifest.
What you’ll get
I’ve been writing, folks, and gosh it’s been good to return to my roots. My aim is to post a little something every week from some bigger projects I’ve been plodding away at on my lonesome. My blogs won’t be long but they will be as helpful, entertaining, and honest as I can possibly make them, and if you have questions I’ll try to answer them (within reason). Maybe you can learn from my mistakes so you won’t have to, or share in the delights I’ve found along the way. It will be lovely to have you along for the ride on my learning curve.
Oh wow. Thank you Jason xxx
I can't wait to read more! Always your biggest fan.
